Description
- The Habs start the rebuild by trading Pacioretty during the 2017-18 season.

- It's fair to assume that especially without Pacioretty, the Habs are going to miss the playoffs in 2018, so the draft pick should be around 7-12 in the summer. With this pick, I suggest the Habs choose the LHD Ty Smith if possible.

- The Sharks' 1st round pick which should be a lot lower, I'd look to get a promising winger, whoever is available.

- After adding Norris, the C prospect pool is starting to look solid as both Evans and Poehling are also developing nicely in the NCAA.

- Two of Norris/Evans/Poehling will probably be sent down after camp, and it's likely that Smith will also spend one more year in the juniors.

- With the Habs having a lot of LD depth, and not so much at wing, a Leivo/Jerabek trade could work for both parties.

- De Haan will be signed as a stop gap in order to give the youngsters time to develop.

Both trade age in disfavor of habs... Norris was a high picked but was ranked in late 1st or even early 2nd rd last year and Boedker is awful... also Jerabek need an audition aside of Petry or even Weber, he's good but didn't had any chance to prove it up until now. I think he can be a great addition to this team defence.
