The deal doesn't really make any team stronger. Pens have a pretty great young goalie, so why would they want to add a $10.5M contract?
RNH has value, but Pleks is a rental and Pacioretty wants the lights of Broadway. He won't resign on the tundra.
If I were making a deal with Buffalo, it would start with Reinhart and maybe another piece.

I don't think they had to be monster trades to make the teams better.

Penguins get a better goalie and a cheaper defenseman; also lose a 4mil contract

Calgary gets their goalie of the future. Oilers get their lw and a center. Patches may stay or not I don't know him personally to ask.

Hawks get cap space and a scoring winger on a cheap contract.

Sure Buffalo trade could be for Sam Rienhart. I made some changes.
