Oilers definitely don’t need any more left handed D-men. The price would be quite a bit higher for Draisaitl. Lucic’s NMC makes this impossible anyway.

I would have thought they deal favored Edmonton. Draisaitl isn't worth both Hannifin and Skinner imo and Bean looks like he'll be a better asset than Lucic.

ur right, drai isnt worth Hanifin and skinner, hes worth hanifin, skinner, bean, and a 1st round pick. plus lucic's value...

I agree with you on Bean, Lucic wouldn’t waive his no movement clause to play in Carolina though. Oilers have an abundance of capable LHD and no room for them all, again with the NMC’s Sekera and Russell have. To make room they would end up losing an asset on waivers. Number one centres aren’t cheap.

Is Draisaitl this # 1 centre (whatever that means). He's not better than a # 2 in out of the playoffs Oilers, and even at that he plays wing some time.
