Description
Price has a full NMC and he's never gonna accept a trade out of the city he lived in for the past ten years. But let's assume the Habs were going for a full rebuild and Price valued winning the cup over stability...

Carolina would be a perfect trade partner: they are looking for a goalie again since Darling doesn't seem to be working, they have a new owner who's willing to spend and have plenty of cap space. They are thin at center, so trading a C prospect like Necas is out of the question. On the other hand, they are absolutely stacked on D, a hole the Habs need to fill, especially in terms of young, left-handed prospects.

Moving Price and his upcoming $84M contract is going to be next to impossible, let alone expecting a crazy haul of assets in return. I'm not questioning Price's value as a player, but Montreal would have to take serious money back and or bad contracts, not high end picks or prospects.

30 Year Old Goalies with 8 year, $10.4 million a year contracts do not get big returns in trades

The fact that you already want to trade him before the contract even starts is hilarious and shows how incredibly stupid it was.

CAR doesn’t touch this. Price isn’t tradeable for a decent return with his contract.

Pass
would rather keep him
we have the better Fleury Brother anyways having a much more dominating Junior then his brother
and unlike Haydn he doesnt need time to find his offense , his offense is the best part of his game .
(Haydn is bigger and faster but Cale has the vision and the hands to be a playmaking D not just a defensive D)

Have to agree with most here, Price is simply not trade-able with his contract.
But the fact that you say that a C wouldn't be going back to Montreal shows just how much this trade won't happen.
Price isn't going anywhere unless a #1C is going back the other way.
