Yes Pacioretty is worth something

No hate from me on Max. I think he’s worth a good young player and 1st or 2nd depending on the player at minimum. But i don’t think Carolina does that. They need scoring . But they need a top 6 center. I can’t see them moving Necas without getting a center. Max for Bean and Gauthier maybe, i think they’d be more interested in Chucky though.

I think you're intensely enjoying the smell of your own farts. Referring to Pacioretty as a "Superstar" is 100% delusional. He's never been that in his entire career. Nobody who's a casual fan and roots for no team would buy tickets just to see the "Superstar" Pacioretty. They'd see Crosby or McDavid, but man Pacioretty is a regular 1st line LW... Thats a less important position and he's not the best at it. He's no Ovechkin streaking down the left wing. He's not in that talent bracket at all. He doesn't land you Bean and Necas even with those picks thrown in. Probably something like Haydn Fleury + 2x 2nd's for Pacioretty is what I'd value him at. Carolina would want to keep their 1st rounder I bet, but 2x 2nds are nice in a competent GM's hands. (don't trade for another Andrew Shaw type)

Having Montreal add additional picks is putting Montreal in the buyer position and paying a premium. Carolina are the buyers here.

I get your point but you have to give something to get something. I think Rask and Lindbolm are good enough to be that one-two punch at center, they still have growth upcoming.
