It also doesn't mean he's worth a Marner... Dumba can be exactly what Leafs need too, doesn't mean I'm willing to up Marner for him. Erik Johnson can be exactly what the Leafs need, doesn't mean I'll trade Marner for him... Marner is an incredible talent. You don't just give it away for a slight chance you might fill a need. Leafs need a Center too, I guess we trade Marner for Jarnkrok then?

I wouldn't exactly compare Hamilton to Jarnkrok. At his best, Hamilton could be considered as a star player. CGY payed a first round and two second round picks for him couple of years ago, which tells something about his level. That suggested trade might need some work, but I wouldn't straight up deny it. Hamilton would be a great asset for Toronto.
