If you really want JT, IMO you'd have to trade for him. If they can't sign him they'd trade him.

If someone wanted Alzner, they would have signed him as a UFA. Why would someone give up an asset for him now?

because people realize they have a deficiency and need a piece to help them over the hump, however i don't think arizona is the team for that. If your looking to shed contract TOR or NYI might want Petry or Alzner they are looking for D and we might be able to get better return than a 3rd rd pick. You would be trading a NHL caliber d-man for the potential at 30% the player you pick in the 3rd round makes the nhl and with that most turn out to be bottom 6 or low end d-pairings. Unless you hit the jackpot and your scouting was spot on, but the law of averages are against you.IF drouin continues to play center this team will continue to struggle, he and galls are not centers as much as we would like them to be. Danault would make a better 2 center than drouin and i would not even do that
