      Cal Foote won't be an NHLer next year. I've watched him a handful of times in person and his mobility is an issue. He will likely require time in the AHL to work on it, I can't see him making the direct jump from junior

      I appreciate the insight! I haven't followed Foote in particular so I was not aware of that area of that improvement, however it makes sense especially considering defensemen often take longer to develop than forwards. Luckily in this case Claesson would be very capable of filling in as a top 4 defensemen to play alongside Dahlin.

      don't you think the kings can find better value at 4m to play defence than phanuef, and they won't have to give up a first rounder. strange that you say "tank for this year and we good to go". it's almost the same team as this year, it's either double tank but more than likely about 20th overall for the next few years.
