wow... It's such a big trade that its hard to gauge, but I don't think this benefits either team, it completely tears down Montreal's defense and Boston's top six. Without Subban, Montreal's top D pair goes to Petry and Markov (who will soon be retiring). I think Subban is a cornerstone for the Canadians and will be a longterm player. Montreal clearly needs help but I don't think this is the way to do it.

If Montreal were to trade Subban, think it would be for young player. But certainly it the Boston trade might be for good for teams needs.

Wouldn't touch Subban unless his contract is retained. 9 million per for a defenseman? Not worth it, no matter how good he is.
