Description
This is a season for the leafs in Nylander is moved to centre.
I believe what position he plays next season is actually a huge thing. If he were to move to Center, then a guy like korshkov I could see signing with the leafs.

If he were to stay on Matthews side then we have a totally different offseason.

I would let patty Marleau play with Nylander for a bit just because he can play Center but can really help him with feeling confident with playing there.

I would let the fourth like be a bunc if rookies. I think all of them can play in the NHL, they aren’t playing top line minutes and are also going to be a pretty productive line.

Johnsson needs to be on the team next season.

As you suggest, it sure would make the roster easier to construct if Nylander can play centre. With the "excess" of wingers who might be ready to step in, would help the cap also.

I think I might've asked this elswhere, can't remember, but why do so many people think they would/should resign Baun, Smith and Greening? There are prospects I'd much rather have taking that icetime on the Marlies. bring back one of 'em maybe, preferably Smith

Wouldn't ozhiganov get $925,000 on a 1 year deal like Zaitsev did? Anyways hopefully he's the answer to our d partner for Reilly but im a little concerned that Moscow cut his ice time this year and he seemed to struggle a bit. Hopefully it was the fact that he is leaving this offseason not because he's starting to regress.

Yes, it does seem unnecessary. They might be resigned as AHLers, making 100,000, and there NHL contracts would only kick in if for some disastrous reasons they were recalled to the NHL.
You always need a few veterans on your AHL teams.

I would resign them probably at less amount of money but you need leaders in the locker room. You always need a few veteran guys to show he kids the ropes and in the AHL I believe its very important to have thoses sort of guys down there helping out the kids with there development. Yes they may not be the greatest players in the world but they are there to help out not take away.
