Wahlstrom is COMMITTED TO: Harvard so no point in giving him the entry level contract right away. just saying... I'm hoping we don't pick a guy that is committed else where. Quinton Hughes: COMMITTED TO: Michigan, Joel Farabee: COMMITTED TO: Boston University, Bode Wilde: COMMITTED TO: Harvard, Mattias Samuelsson: COMMITTED TO: Michigan, K'Andre Miller: COMMITTED TO: Wisconsin, Jack McBain: COMMITTED TO: Boston College, Thats all the guys Committed else where in the first round.

pretty good, zucc and spooner could be traded at the draft but that remains to be seen, I don't think either will be on the team next year but its possible they could be, as for the contracts all are good except kovalchuk, namestnikov and hayes will want more money, namestnikov will probably be 5 million as well as hayes but kovalchuk is interesting, he is making 6 million in the khl so you have to figure if he is coming back the the nhl he is not gonna take a pay cut especially with the cap increasing so he will probably get 7 million from someone, and he is worth that even though he is old as he is putting up a point per game in the khl which would be around 60-70 points in the nhl, the thing is that he wants to win and he doesn't have much time left, so unless the rangers get a top 3 pick which shows the rebuild will be quick then I doubt he is going to come to a rebuilding team even if he likes the new York area, again the only way he comes here is if he gets 7 million and we get a top 3 pick which is a player that can help now, other than those issues its really solid but personally I would trade spooner and zucc to move up in the first round

Kovalchuk is a wild card. I added him since he's been linked to the Rangers. That was of course when the Rangers were in better position, so he definitely could decide to go elsewhere to chase a cup. I think the only teams willing to give him 6-7 mil are the ones who aren't contenders. Most contenders won't have that cap space available. I think best he could get for that money is a fringe playoff team.

If Kovalchuk decides to go elsewhere, I could see Nash coming back.
