Two picks out of the top ten for a top 4 pick? No.
Terrible backup goalie for a decent starting goalie? No.
Larsson is meaningless. We already have two top six centers.

It’s the SABRES who say “no” here

U don’t trade quality for quantity when it comes to draft picks... not when it’s in the top5 anyways

If they're taking Griess, I would definitely want Beauvillier, other than that, the trade works out. Sabres should draft D and not many Dmen will be off the board at 9 or 10. No reason not to take in more assets and still end up with the prospect you want. Too many people get caught up with only the mathematical value of the pick and not the players that they'd be interested in taking and the benefits of having a plan. Sure best available is great, but in this situation they double their chance of landing a top roster player in a position of need and get help all around. Bringing in Beauvillier or Nelson would be the same as drafting Zadina. Not in the long run most likely, but in the long run they draft a future 2nd pairing RHD and a top 9 forward or another top pairing dman with that other pick and they still have that solid forward they got in this trade to begin with, and they didn't lose a roster player they couldnt replace

Buffalo declines. Two picks outside of the top 10, a middle 6 forward and a crap goalie, for an ok goalie and a top 5 pick. NYI would have to add Beauvillier and or Ho Sang.

I guess it would have to depend on where the picks land. If NYI sucks the rest of the season and say have picks 7 and 14? Then you really have to consider this trade bc you could in theory draft Hughes, and Joe Veleno. That’s two players with top line/pair upside....
