Explain? They need a top pairing right d-man since they already got plenty of lefty, they were the ones who signed him this contract back in 2012 as an offer sheet.
Patrick is stuck behind Couturier, Giroux and Konecny which is why they traded Schenn last summer. The value might not be quite there yet but i don't believe its a huge no.

lol what are you talking about? They traded Schenn because they didnt know how to use him and because they knew Patrick and Lindblom would be ready this year. Patrick isn't buried behind anyone. Giroux and Konecny are wingers anyway. He's the 2nd center. It's a huge no easily. If you can't see why a team wouldn't trade a 19 year old rookie #2 center for Weber than idk what to tell you man. It doesn't make any sense and there isn't really a nice way to explain it so ill leave it at that. It's just terrible lol. Would they be interested in Weber? Yes. But there is a 0% chance Patrick would be what they trade for him. You'd be better off making it 4 1sts rounders before Patrick honestly.

man are you even a flyers fan? Giroux is definetly a center even if he does play wing at times, just like Stamkos or Malkin plays wing sometimes....
The flyers are in win now mode, their core is mature for a cup run and adding Weber would make them legitimate contenders.
You didn't even consider the value of the habs retaining 2m of his salary or throwing lehkonen and i'll add a second round pick.
At 5.8m Weber is an absolute offer and is still at 33 a top pairing guy and will be for the next 2 years before he starts slowing down but remaining top-4 material just like Chara.
For me Patrick is not untouchable and the flyers got really lucky to get the #2 pick overall and i am sure it wasn't in the long term plan to end up with him.
chill out dude this is only a hockey forum.

lol im chill you're just not making any sense and as a Flyers fan I was telling you that Patrick would be untouchable. Giroux is a full time winger and Konecny has never even played center in the NHL in his two seasons. Idk how much of the Flyers you watch but they are far from win now mode. They had the second youngest team in the NHL until they added Oduya and have been going through a retool since Hexy was hired. Just do a bit more research on other teams before you you claim to know everything about them man. Patrick might not be untouchable for you but he is to the Flyers. If you want a guy to play center for Weber you'd be better off trying to get Giroux straight up and moving him back to the middle for MTL. Just because they got the number two pick and that wasn't in the plan doesn't mean you just trade him away because you didn't plan to win the lottery lol - it's just awful asset management and doesn't even make sense.
