Description
Upgrading their defence and their trash goaltending would surely prove to JT that the team has adressed it's major flaws from the last season and will be alot more competitive.

Grubauer is a NHL goalie, and DalColle is probably never going to be an NHLer. That seems like a big overpayment to get just two years of Faulk, in effective to mid two mid first rounders.

These trades all make good enough sense in theory, but the values are mostly off. Grub's rights are worth more than Dal Colle in my opinion. Maybe Dal Colle and a 2nd?

No complaints on the Brodin trade. Minnesota gets to upgrade their offense in exchange for defense, something they should have done a while ago. Adding in Aho would reduce some of the anxiety of losing Brodin.

I agree with palhal, that's a lot to give up for two years of Faulk. Still, that's a division team that will likely start contending around the same time we will. They may not want to send a good, still relatively young defenseman to a future rival. The overpayment might be necessary. So I'll put it this way: if that's your opening offer to Carolina, you're crazy. If that's where negotiations end, I'm fine with that.

If Montreal is serious about rebuilding, they'd take that trade.

    Good-not-great post.

Alright, as for Grub it's hard to get the right value when you look at what other goalies fetched their teams like Talbot, Jones, Andersen, Darling. It's mostly picks but the caps aren't really looking to add picks so why that's why i tried throwing a "suspect" who still got draft like 5th overall? But i agree that i am lowballing it with just him for Grubs.

Has been nhl backup tho, a really good one but still a backup. I agree that Dal Colle is a huge suspect at this point given he was picked like 5th overall but i'd say it would be worth the risk if the isles were to add like a third and 5th rounder.
I think two years of Faulk would be perfect for the Isles at the moment. Of course that's with the objective of keeping Tavares so if JT does leave then getting Faulk would make no sens.
Faulk is really good but is playing in a joke of a market so he really dosen't get alot of attention on him but his value surely compares to that of Mcdonagh tbh, not as much i agree but certainly in that range.
