Description
#4 overall pick- Adam Boqvist
#15 overall pick- Rasmus Kupari
Getting all these bad contracts from other teams will help accelerate our rebuild and use our cap instead of having cap space for no reason like this year.
I would not be surprised if Mete dosen't start the year in MTL next season, he should have been sent back to the minors this season and i don't want to burn him if he isn't ready for the NHL.

I highly doubt Byron gets us Hertl's rights. I Think a minimum of Byron + 2018 2nd (TOR) + 2019 2nd (MTL) for Martin's contract dump + Hertl's Rights..... They have no reason to trade him and he's a great 2nd liner

he's a natural center and they already got Couture, Pavelski, Doonskoi, Karlsson and Tierney who all can play center so Byron would fit in great behind Kane on the second/third line.
But i agree the value might not be perfect and yea it may require a second round pick which im totaly okay to give up. I also think the sharks are going to be the most likely destination for JT if he is hitting the market july 1st and with Kane most likely to stay and Vlassic contract starting, cap space is important.

Trade Alzner for Orpik... even if you need to retain 1M... instead of Benn.
Hertl will cost you alot more as Thornton 8M won't be there...or at least not at that price!!!
Maybe: Byron & Florida 1st pick (No#15) would be more fair IMO for a proven NHLers top6. (FYI= he never played C in the NHL)

the only way I've thought Hertl might become available is if the Sharks convince JT to play on the west coast, and they re-sign Kane long term and bring back jumbo joe for one more year (at reduced salary). They may need to move someone then maybe
