I think anyone who picks up a Retained Salaried Bobby is getting a steal...

Michael Stone's contract is moveable and much shorter term than Ryan's. No way Kylington also gets thrown into that. Ottawa won't get the value of a benefit of a change of scenery in terms of trade pieces, the acquiring team will.

Basically Ottawa doesnt have space in the lineup for Ryan once the kids come up, so I traded him to another team to
give him a chance to be in someone else’s lineup (someone that could use him effectively). The return doesn’t mattter to me, as u can see I’m not using any of the pieces I got from that trade (except Stone). It can be to anyone, and Ottawa can get more.

That's fair. I don't think it's unrealistic a Stone for Ryan transaction be worked out. It just wouldn't be the trade the Flames work one of their big 4 D prospects into.

Well I figured they had Giordano and Brodie now, with Valimaki and Kylington (among others) in the system, so I figured they could use 1. I mean, we could work out a Michael Stone and Brodie deal if ud like, but I figured we could get at least 1 of their D-men.
