Wishful thinking. After Dahlin and Svechnikov it's pretty much an even talent pool for the next 10 picks. The cost of moving up in those situations is usually a 2nd rounder at best, not a player and a top prospect.

P-O is a late first pick, no top prospect... but if that is true about Zadina not being more talented then the rest of the top-10 than we might aswell pick a d-man or center.

That's my hope for the Senators. Good right handed D men are much harder to acquire via trade or free agency and there are a surprising number in the top 10 of this draft: Dobson, Boqvist, Bouchard, and slightly further down Wilde.
