The Sabres can not trade away Risto after just picking up Dahlin in the draft. The addition of Dahlin & Pulit allows this franchise to start to build a defense that can play at an NHL caliber level.

In addition you want the Sabres to take on Sekera and that albatross of a contract.

I would like to have Strome but not at that price so it is flat out PASS.

I wouldn't trade hime if I was Buffalo either, but this trade is based purely in the rumour that he may be moved because of Eichel and him having Issues... And Buffalo gets back 2 1st rounders (one of them in the top 10), Strome, and a decent 3-4 defenseman (who has salary retained to help with the bad contract. If you look at comparable trades of defensemen (dougie hamilton), thats actually more assets than other teams have got for all star defensemen. Seems at least plausible, on the off chance those rumours happen to be true
