Description
Still work to be done in Buffalo.
Main goal would be to find a goalie and top 6 F.
The Sabres the trade with the Leafs to shed some cap and obtain a solid winger. They sign Carlson with the extra cap space.
Leafs do benefit from this trade, they get their RHD and a winger that is similar to Nylander.
After cycling prospects in and out of the line up in 2018-19, the Sabres will give their younger players NHL experience, plus they finally shed Pominville and Moulson contracts in 2019-20.

Like the idea of having Grubauer and Carlson would like to see more term though for Grubauer. Also don't know if the leafs would ever give up Nylander. I think the value is fair in the grand scheme of things for both teams, maybe add a piece going to Toronto.

Buffalo will have to retain on Beau if they want Grubauer.

No way TOR trades Nylander for a less productive reinhart and a cap dump with 2 years left. They need all the cap they can to sign all 3 of their future forwards. Why would TOR trade a stud to their divisional rival anyways?

Signings are realistic money wise tho Carlson will be back with the caps to contend for another cup.

    Sabres fan here

ZERO chance the Leafs do that trade, ZERO
The Caps trade is reasonable though

    Also,
Antipin is going back to Russia
And Nylander (& most likely O’Regan ) will start in Rochester
Bailey & Baptiste have to clear waivers now,
so they’ll either be on Buffalo or traded
