I just couldn't see Washington giving up Holtby. Now I did see them gaining a Washington Goaltender. Grubauer, because Grubauer has a .923 PCT and a 2.35 GAA compared to Greiss and Halak. Washington doesn't need Grubauer after signing Samsonov the Top Goalie Prospect.

If i was Washington no way in the world i move an allstar goaliei n the division. Maybe a situation like jones getting delt from la to boston then san jose.

I made this trade with Samsonov in mind too, except the Caps would go into next season with Samsonov and Grubauer. The Isles need a legit #1, and Grubauer is unproven.

Maybe the Isles would have to add a bit more to the pot, maybe Ho-Sang.
