Description

The Blackhawks have done a great job grooming their prospects and getting them to the NHL level.
Now, just need to add a few pieces to try to get them into the playoffs again.
Adding Hickey as a top 4 D man gives them more depth on D. Versteeg is a depth signing as well.
Trading for some old friends to try to re-ignite the spark that once was the Stanley cup champion Blackhawks. Will it work? who knows. But Shaw and Kruger are good two way players. Plus they save some cap space in trading Anisimov for Kruger.
Definitely a more experienced team this year than last.

I don’t think a rebirth entails trading for 2 former players outside of their primes with no value to the team.
