It would not take Parayko to acquire O’Rilley. Young NHLer, prospect, and pick is pretty much standard operating procedure for trades...

No team would realistically be in the running for ROR with the package you offered. A late 1st, a guy that could be a middle 6 player in the future but needs another year in the AHL, and Blais who might be a 4th line career guy. It’s not enough known value and too much “if”.

Nashville traded a legit D with top pairing potential in Seth Jones for RyJo. ROR > RyJo. It may not necessarily take Parayko to get ROR but it would be substantially more than this offer.

I'm not sure ROR is better than Ry Jo. He's a great player and still maturing. If the Blues were going to trade Parayko though they'd go after a younger center like Draisaitl or someone like that.
