Counter offer from the Wild: Coyle for Mason Appleton and the rights to Kristian Vesalainen.

BTW, I am a big fan of inter-conference trades. A trade between the Jets and the Wild would only make the budding rivalry even more fun!

66pts in 72 games in the A and 43pts in 49 games in Liiga as an 18 year old is a steep asking price for a good middle 6 rental for 2 years. Even if you retain a mill of his salary. Those are our two best forward prospects.

Correct me if I'm wrong, because I definitely could be wrong, but according to my American friends, you guys are gearing up for a retool/rebuild for the next 2-3 years, so I think this deal makes sense for both Chevy and whoever replaced Fletches (I don't keep up with you guys, as much as I did during the season). I'd be very interested in finding out how this negotiation would go down irl. With that being said,

Jets counter offer:

3rd round pick and Appleton for Coyle with 1000000 retained.

counter offer 2:

1st round pick (TOR), and Nic Petan, and Stanley for Coyle with 1300000 retained.

I'm not interested in Petan or Stanley.

Coyle (nothing retained) for Appleton and a 2018 and 2020 2nd round pick.
