Description
Rumors are Chicago would move the #8 if a team would take Hossa's contract. Opportunity awaits. Last NHL.com Draft shows Whalstrom would be expected to go #8 to Chicago and I think Detroit couldn't pass that up if he was still available.

I selected all 5 picks Detroit has in the first 2 rounds, but only two would crack the roster in year 1. I entered them in the order they would be selected.

Would the Hawks give us their #8 pick if we took Seabrook for helm? So helm for Seabrook and #8 pick

Just going on what a Blackhawks website is publishing.. I guess they could put him on Long Term IR, but apparently its a "priority" in Chicago to move his contract & Chicago is the team most likley to move their #8. Does it pair together? I dont know. I totally get where a Hawks fan would want to say no... But if the Hawks are trying to make something happen and its a solid rumor, then its possible.

They are not saying they want to move the #8 and Hossa for late round picks...at least nobody would be laughing at your suggestion if you proposed two 2nds and Hossa for the #8 pick...Hossa only costs a team $1m a year in actual dollars. What reports have said is the Hawks would be willing to move down from the #8 spot to the middle of the first, such as doing a trade with the NYI...give them 8 for their 11th and take on Hossa since they have plenty of cap space.
