Woah, this team is really over the salary cap. Even if I was GMJR (which I am not) I couldn't make this one work under the cap.

Lol. See explanation. Each player's contract is their age a bunch of times in a row.

It's a response to a Detroit rebuild that suggested Zetterberg might retire, but the team would keep paying Green close to his last contract for leadership through a rebuild. Seems like there are some other guys on here who have more experience, could better help coaches teach whatever style of play they're after, and would cost a lot less, to say nothing of how little Mike Green, who left the Caps to join a more competitive team in Detroit, might feel about that prospect, or what his morale will be like.
