Description
Not sure how to feel. Think Manning could be a good partner for Seabrook and Kunitz can basically play anywhere. Like Ward but think there were better options for 3m or less.

Think Stan still has to be looking at a top 4 dman. Could trade Murphy and a 1st for Faulk and go basically right up to the cap and then place Hossa on LTIR on day 1 of season to have a few millions to spend at the deadline if things are looking good.

AND as fun as a Debrincat-Schmaltz-Kane line would be, they are too small. This is how I would line em up.

Manning is a DFD, Seabrook is a DFD. I don't think Manning is a good partner. He needs a good skating 'rover' so to speak like Gus or Forsling. I wonder if the Ward $$$$ is any indication of Crawford's health. $3 million is a lot for any goalie. The hawks could've gotten Mrazek at 1.5. Makes you wonder if they aren't confident in Crow's return, hence why they paid Ward $3 million. He may be working a lot. I hope I'm wrong but that's the vibe I'm getting. Also, I think a move is coming. They asked for Anisimov's no trade list.

I dont really know if a move can even be made. The rumblings throughout bleacher report and the athletic say that a deal for faulk/skinner wouldnt even be considered unless saad, schmaltz/debrincat are a part of the deal AND one of the hawks now many D prospects. I really thing any move that takes a 1st to get the deal done is out of the question. the central just got STACKED. Preds and Jets will most likely be 1, 2 again. and the additions the Blues made today make them look even harder to play against. and if dallas can stay healthy and remotely keep the goals against to at or below 3 they will more than likely be on the cusp of a playoff spot if not in one. and one more year of experience for the Aves.... look out for Mac and Rant. those two guys are gunna light it up this year.

i seriously see the hawks being at the bottom of the central again. even with "all the injuries" (really only crow) they didnt look all that good last season. and all the free agent signings dont look very promising. Toews i think lost a step. if saad stays on with toews they need a legit play maker to actually set them up. kunits/vinnie/debcat i dont think get that done.

unless these young guys can REALLY step it up this year, i dont see much of a change from last year.
