The Leafs are giving up a 1st, 2nd and 4th and Carl Grundstrom (a guy many predict will make the 4th line in TO, which is going to be as good as many 3rd lines in league) and all they get is Barrie? That makes zero sense.

You are not getting Otts own 1st back, Barrie, and Makar and a 2nd on top of it. Avs laugh and hang up the phone. They own the Sens by holding that pick hostage. That package is a hell of a lot better than Vegas 1st, Colin Miller, and Cody Glass. WHy would the Avs give up more as well as give their own 1st back

0% chance Colorado does that. At absolute best, Ottawa would get Barrie and their own 1st back.

You must be on the inside that amount of confidence...

Maybe take a look at the O'Reilly trade, Duchene trade, Hamilton trade. Surprisingly you have to trade good assets or lots of OK assets to get a good asset back. Karlsson being better than all of those players should get a better package in return. Everyone wants him for cents on the dollar, maybe it happens, but be real
