How about Columbus doesn’t need d..... Add a first and take off muzzins then you have a good trade for both sides.

Not going to happen. The Kings would be hugely over the cap next season, and they'd be getting rid of their only NHL-ready forward prospect that would be able to fill a roster spot with a six-figure contract.

The Kings would include a 1st or Vilardi, but not both. They might include both if Columbus was willing to take back Phaneuf's contract.

You could move Muzzin in an additional deal to say Toronto, Philadelphia or Montreal for their 1st? Again just throwing out ideas. Reality is we are probably done.

I like Muzzin, but I don't think he returns a 1st round pick, especially for a team like Montreal that's likely going to be in the top 5 overall.
