Offseason shakeup moves. Kreider for Vatanen is swap of young guys that fit needs for each team. Staal with money retained and prospect gets traded to Dallas to play top pairing minutes with Klingberg (similar to when he was paired with Stralman), Rangers get back mid round pick, C level prospect, and Ales Hemsky to make salary work. McIlrath traded to D hungry Edmonton for young winger prospect with upside.

    If Johns is a C level prospect, why is a starter on the on Rangers next year? Hemsky for Staal may be a salary even, but Staal's longer high salary sure is detriment in his trading value.
    Kreider for Vatanen doesn't seem good value for the Ducks. JT Miller may be a better value for Ducks. JT Miller signs for 2.8m and Vatanen 4.5m, maybe the Ducks wanat more.
