Not a Leafs fan but that is not a good deal for you. You could do a lot better for Nylander and get a younger more promising D. CAR doesn't need LHD either.

Don't think I would pull the trigger on that if I'm the leafs.
Nylander, Marner, Matthews, Tavares should all be kept long-term

If you switched Faulk for Presce, the deal included a reasonable extension for Skinner and Carolina threw in Jake Bean, I'd think then the Leafs would say yes.

I would go further than MG1986 (is it a GT or the roadster?). As Toronto AGM I would ask for Jeff Skinner (+ extension), Brett Pesce, Jake Bean, Roland McKeown and a second-rounder.

I really respect guys who put ideas out there for all of us to think about and then critique. Nice going, RocketGreaser.

I appreciate the vote of confident @OldNYIfan. People seem to forget both how young Nylander is and all that he has accomplished in hockey up to this point in his very young career. Around these parts (on this site), Nylander's value seems to be all over the map. I totally get it. Personally, if Nylander was ever to be discussed in a trade, the return would need to be, at least in part, Josh Manson.
