holl has been a career ahl player. to think at age 26, 27 he is suddenly a OK nhl dman, is unlikely. like most of lineup though engvall is a winger

I agree, he might be the guy that is scratched for most of the year. He shouldn't be given a guaranteed spot.

I'm more pointing out that if the leafs might want to improve their defence, with assumption that more dollars equals better players, maybe nylander or someone like his type of cap has to be traded for a player on defence.
or this scenario. have a chance to sign ryan ellis then you trade nylander for elc player or picks, to stay within the cap.
