No way Kuch takes 9.5 unless it’s like a 3 year deal. He’s going to take 11M plus on a long term deal.

So many things wrong with this, dude...it's sad, really.

Kucherov is getting 8 years at 10.5-11M$ AAV garanty.

You're trading Sergachev for a FIFTH ROUND PICK??? I mean...WHAT!!! Lol! It shows your lack of hockey knowledge. NEXT!

How in the hell can Domingue fetch you a 2nd round pick when he was acquire via waiver last season??

T.Johnson isn't a cap dump at all. Why give him away?

Why so many UFA signings of third tier players? TBL are very deep in in-house talent, they'll mostly promote from within (Cirelli, Raddysh, Foote, Katchouk, Sompi, Masin, Stephens).

You still need 3 more players to complete your roster (only 20 players right now) and you're already at the cap...

It needs a lot of work, my friend. It also needs to be carefully thought out, not just pitched-in in a hurry

I did this I two minutes just to see what the cap situation would be like. Serg, Johnson, and Callahan would probably be involved in the Karlsson trade but since I skipped this upcoming season I just put whatever to get them off the roster. I know Tampa has a pipeline of players. I live in Tampa. It was literally just an exercise to see if it was possible to sign both Kuch and Karlsson long term. The bottom 6 is gonna be a hodge podge of players anyways.

It is possible for them to accomplish that feat, but they'll need to shed a lot of salary in more than one deal. Callahan needs to go (his NTC will make this difficult), Coburn or Girardi needs to go (again, NTC will make this difficult) and either Johnson or Killorn needs to go (and, you guessed it, NTC will make this difficult!). So they'll have a lot of work to do approaching the deadline or in the off season before july 1st in order to shed all that salary to make room for EK and Kuch new deals. They'll surely have to take a lesser return for Johnson or Killorn and they'll have to litterally pay teams a lot so they take on Coburn or Girardi and Callahan's contract...but I think it's worth the risk. EK is one of a kind.

Coburn, Girardi, and Stralman will be without a contract when this roster is constructed. They'll be UFAs when Kuch and Karlsson need extensions. I think Johnson moves in the trade for Karlsson, as well as Callahan, and prospects to whoever takes Cally. They don't really have to move Coburn, Girardi, or Stralman for THIS year. Just getting Cally and Johnson off the books would clear enough space for Karlsson's 6.5m cap hit. Johnson would wave his no trade clause, pretty sure it's limited anyways, but he's young and good and worth a damn.
