Description
After Montreal tanks this year they win the lottery and select Jack Hughes. Now with Hughes - Kotkaniemi - Poehling their center ice has decent depth. Not good enough though! Time to start winning and get another star center! Offer sheet Mathews!!!!! Screw the next four first round draft picks.

Irony is if they matched, you could do the same for Marner and they wouldn't have the cap space to be able to match

Agreed. Just trying to put them in as much cap trouble as possible.

Honestly I'm surprised no one did it with Nylander yet

It’s because there isn’t actually that much to gain. If you look at the numbers he will fal between $6.5-$7.5 over 7 years which means that a team is giving up like two first round picks, a second and a third for him. So if he doesn’t make a crucial difference then it doesn’t offer enough for the team signing him.

I know but 3 teams offer sheet Nylander, Marner and Matthews at 12.5 mil per for x amount of years and they don't have the cap to match, make them regret the tavares signing
