Why in the Flying F would Vancouver Trade Juolevi?

Byron could fetch a late first or a 2nd + a decent prospect... Dont think the gap between Juolevi and Juulsen is as big as a 2nd, decent prospect and a 4th

Vancouver isn’t looking to Trade Prospects as the key piece for future for older players. Montreal just needs to go draft guys.

I wouldn't want Van to do this deal, as Juolevi has higher upside than Juulsen. But if MTL sent more picks/futures instead of Byron then there could be a deal to be made.

Because they have no1 coming on the right side on defense. Juulsen is a first round pick from BC and already got a bit of NHL experience last season at 21. Add a 20 goal scorer under 2M cap hit and a pick and i’d say its close. They have Hughes coming next year as a top LHD..
