Lee is worth WAY more than that, even as a rental. That pick is a 1st regardless and MIN adds something else. No 3rd to MIN.
WPG/TB/TOR deals too heavy in NYI favor

I've some issues in all of these trades... I'll see them through one by one.

MIN trade: I think the value is about right, but I don't think MIN is the right team to trade Lee to. That team is in a brink of change, so adding extra UFAs is not what they're seeking. I believe MIN is seeking to trade their main roster players for young players and picks for now.

WPG trade: This trade favors NYI too much. WPG got Stastny with much lower price than that, and he is better player than Nelson is. Furthermore, what the team is seeking is a 2C to play alongside Ehlers and Laine - and Nelson is not much of an upgrade from Little who's in the position right now. I'm not entirely sure is Lee able to play center, but if he is, he could definitely be a better option to replace Nelson in this trade.

TB trade: 2019 1st round pick from TB cannot be moved - it was a conditional pick in the McDonagh trade made with NYR. The team is already filled with D's that are better than Hickey, so Tampa has no specific need for him. Maybe he could work as the 3rd pair D, but not with that price. Eberle is interesting though. Last issue is that Callahan has a NMC on his contract, and I just have this feeling that he wouldn't waive for NYI, since he is a former captain of their rival, and also NYI is likely out of the playoff race. And if Tampa cannot move Callahan, they just can't afford to take Eberle's contract, even if his salary is retained. If NYI can find a 3rd team that can take Callahan, that's a different story then.

TOR trade: This is easy. TOR already has 3 elite centers (Tavares, Matthews, Kadri). Filppula has NMC. He won't waive it just to play 5 minutes per game in the 4th line. Also TOR wouldn't spend that much assets for him. They simply don't need him.

TB is so heavy due to the cap dump. As for Winnipeg it fits two glaring holes in their team which adds enough value to pay, the pieces can be changed. As for Toronto they are moving 3 fringe players for one that fits a huge need. Anyway, just a thought.

Thanks for the input. As for your points, I'll counter with this.

These players all on expiring contracts need to be moved and a lot of them have value being on cheaper contracts. The reason why I said Hickey to Tampa is the low hit over the next few years which would be very important for them. If the teams aren't right in this trade, I get that for sure, that can easily be changed. I was thinking Callahan would waive in order to go back to NY where he spent so much of his career, plus with the respect the players have for Stevie I think he would waive. As for the Toronto trade, this is a Babs trade. I believe the team doesn't need the trade but that Babs would ask for it, if Babs ask, you do. Finally Winnipeg, I hear what you are saying on the payment. From what I saw from Nelson is that he is on the verge of a huge break out season and I can see him stealing Littles spot. Also, they do need someone to play behind their number 1 goalie and with Lehners cap he seems perfect. I know what you mean of value, but I did say these are TDL deals, and we all know how much people are willing to over pay at that time.

Just some thoughts.

One more thing, I think Filppula waives for a cup.
