I'm lost as to how this benefits us? By the time our core is ready to compete, Weber is the leagues most overpaid defenseman.

I dont think that trade is good but tbh if some team can get Shea Weber back to being totally healthy he is still 50+ pts two way brick wall

Switch your Caps lock off you seem angry lol and until he is 36-37, thats how far I see him being effective. 2010 olympics generation of Thornton, Getzlaf and even Weber finds ways to keep themselves relevant. Thornton turned himself into assist machine after he realized he is not much speedy. Getzlaf is doing the same thing and Weber would find a way to stay good.

I honestly see him fading just a little less gracefully then Chara has (that's not an insult.) I think he'll manage to find a way to be effective until he retires. He won't always be worth what his caphit is but who knows what a 2nd/3rd pairing dman will be paid in 7 more seasons.
