Description
Okay, so this one is a huge huge deal. Lots of contracts moving around and a lot of money. So lets try and make this all work.

Edmonton moves Lucic for Ryan, which isn't ideal, but he has one less year, which makes him buy out eligible faster than Lucic. They lose Sekera because he may become healthy again this year pricing them over. Karlsson in my opinion is the missing link and I think he may sign a friendly 8@9.5 for a sign in trade to play with McDavid.

Those top-6 wingers wouldn't even be the best in the AHL. How exactly have you improved the team? Russell and Gravel playing key roles on D isn't good and the poor winger situation is now much worse.

They now have 8.5 mill to address one of the easiest spots to fill. I wouldn't be too worried about it.

OTT has no interest in Lucic especially to take back when they are trying to dump Ryan. They also have no use for Sekera.
OTT is not moving prospects likes Brown
EDM is not moving Bouchard; for all anybody knows, he could have the offensive output at the NHL level to be Karlsson-esque in the future (no I am not saying saying he is going to be EK)
EK is not going to sign a discount to play with McDavid; I'm sure he could care less...he will command top dollar

First of all Sekera goes right on LTIR, so not a problem. Lucic will be easier to move long term VS Ryan. And 9.5mill is top dollar. Its just not ridiculous money like north of 10.
