Description
This is just to see if Tampa can stay under the cap without making any major moves. Would they be able to give guys like Point and Gourde long term contracts? I used Larkin as a comparable for Point, since the cap went up, he makes a little more than Larkin. Gourde is harder to gauge. Will he replicate last season?

Obviously Callahan has to be traded. A buyout is not ideal because the cap issues will be worse next season. Tampa has a lot of guys with full NTC (Palat, Johnson, Killhorn) and that really hurts the team. Ideally next season (2020-2021) when Killhorn's NTC becomes modified, he gets traded and Vas is signed long term while Sergachev is bridged.

I really believe Point is gonna get PAID! I really believe if he has another good year he will be in the 7.5mil conversation. He plays in all situations for TB.

Oh wow, I never realized just how many NMC/NTCs the Bolts have until you laid it out. It looks like the only players who don't have them are depth disposable guys or some of the stars that you absolutely don't want to trade.

You better hope the NHL comes up with different rules for the next expansion!

I can see Gourde walking or being dealt at the deadline. It's either that or he signs a cheap bridge deal worth at most 3.5 million. Lots of decent prospects in the works for TBL (Katchouk, Raddish, Lipanov) that can come up and take on roles in TB.

It would also be incredibly hard for Yzerman to move Callahan because of that NTC... as a player, why would you leave a team with a legitimate shot at winning a cup in the next 2 years?

Callahan has a limited NTC, he has to submit a 16 team trade list. I can also see Gourde walking if Point gets more

That could very well happen. In that situation Goude wouldn't be signed
