Description
Just an idea for what the team might look like. Let me know which RFAs I'm underpaying or overpaying. I traded Barrie because I believe with Makar and Timmins coming up he will be expendable. Don't really know if the trade makes sense though. I just figured the Oilers could use a top 4 dman. Should have more than enough cap space to sign Girard and Jost. Is that enough money for Howard???? Let me know!

Signings:
- I doubt Skinner leaves BUF. He waived his NMC to play there. Could still happen though, if he ends up disliking it after a year
- Why leave off Andrighetto?
- Not a big fan of bringing in DSP and Howard, but I think it's plausible
- Zadorov/Kerfoot/Compher/Rantanen values are on the high side to me, but they're all possible with this contract year. I would hope Rantanen would be a 8 year deal
- Why create Kamenev? He'll have just completed his ELC, so I would expect the value to be higher here (or shorter term)

Trade:
- I do think EDM is a plausible destination for Barrie, but I don't like getting Kassian back. I don't see what he offers that COL would want

Lines:
- I would expect Landeskog/MacK/Rantanen to stick together, but MacK/Rant at a minimum
- Soderberg is still a reliable player, although overpaid. Doubt he would be a scratch - more likely to be traded if he's not in the lineup
- Andrighetto (or Kaut/Bowers) would probably be in the lineup before Lewis

I think Howard would sign for more even though I dont think hes worth half of that..
Smith-Pelley also probably goes for more.
I'm hoping rantanen doesnt go above 7M
I also dont want kassian anywhere near the team
Other than that everything looks pretty good, like the signings minus the Howard one, maybe we can sign pickard back

Changed up the lines a bit and fixed Kamenev. I think Zadorov signing is pretty on par with what top 4 dmen are going to be getting.

I think the general belief is that Skinner mostly wanted to go to buffalo so he could play with a quality center and rack up some points on his contract year. Has he said he wanted to go to Buffalo because he wants to stay there?

And as an Edmonton fan, I kind of like Kassian. He definitely takes some bad penalties, but he's a great fighter, sticks up for his teammates, can PK, and he's a good skater.

What do you think of the changes?

That barrie trade is so terrible. A 1st and a junk player for one of the top offensive Dmen in the league. Of course an Oilers fan would post this sort of trade. You gave up nothing of value that the Avs would want at this time in their rebuild/playoff contender push

This is a train wreck of a roster build

You're right! I sold low on Barrie, I sort of did that trade as an afterthought. He could probably get back a lot more than that, even as a rental. What do you think would be fair price for him as a rental? 1st, 2nd, prospect, and player? I apologize if my AGM isn't great, Colorado isn't one of the teams I'm most familiar with. What do you think of the signings? What else can I do to get more than 1 star? Thanks for the input!
