Roster looks right in toto, but Pesce plays on the right and I'd heard that your lines are going to be Aho-Staal-Teravainen and Ferland-Rask-Svechnikov with Wallmark the fourth center.

I don't see how your team climbs over Washington, Pittsburgh, Philadelphia or Columbus. Meanwhile, Boston, Tampa and Toronto should occupy the other division's top three spots. So it looks like your team would have to beat out all of Florida, New Jersey and both of the New York teams to get into the playoffs. I think you're underdogs.

They really had TT playing center? Interesting. Id say the Canes are underdogs again this year.BUT, you never know, with the new additions ( Svech, Necas, Hamilton, Ferland) they can surprise a lot of people. If svech happens to hit the 30 goal mark, Id cry happy tears :')

To be honest, the Canes have some good potential in their defensive core. Their Goalies will likely split a 50/50 work loads this year, and it could go either way for Win %. The new faces and rookies in offense is likely the liabilities or risks for the Canes. I'm not sure what the projected Goals For per Game will look like, but I think it'll hover around the 2.5 mark... which makes every night a hard earned win from the back end. It's hard to place them, but other teams in the East do look much better.

With that in mind, Is this their rebuild year?

They're a tweener. Too good to be at the bottom, not quite good enough to be a WC.
