The kid has definitely shown he's above pretty much everybody of "minor league" level in terms of skill and play. I still need to see what he looks like against legit NHL rosters. So far in the pre-season, the only team that iced an NHL roster against the Habs was Florida, and Kotkaniemi wasn't playing that game. Even tonight vs the leafs, it's almost literally the Marlies roster. I'd give him a couple season games, see how he handles it. If he shows any signs of struggle and/or his confidence being shaken, send him down to Laval or return him to Finland. The kid needs to develop and have ice-time.
