Description

I know this is insane and in NO WAY realistic. I'm just bored of making the same trades over and over. McDavid's value is priceless and even though Chiarelli gets a lot of flak I don't think anybody would be stupid enough to trade McDavid.

I've given the Oilers the best assets that we have. They get our best forward (a 60+ point RW/LW), a 50+ point 1st pairing defenseman with 20 goal potential, our current 1C, a top 10-15 prospect in the entire NHL, and a 2019 1st. It's a pretty insane package if you ask me, but McDavid is literally a generational talent and IMO the best player in the league (in terms of current playing ability). It's still probably not enough for McDavid.

This is probably the dumbest post I've ever made but it's completely for fun.

The thing is if the Oilers ever trade Mcdavid they are losing the trade no matter what. Say TB wanted 97 for example, Chiarelli probably asks for Kucherov, Point and Hedman, TB says no way. Fact is in a cap world EDM will never get fair value in a Mcdavid trade

He is priceless you are right, but as we both mentioned if it did happen the return wouldn't be as high as you'd think in trading a player of that caliber.

Just out of curiosity, what do you think of the return I've given the Oilers here? They get some pretty impressive assets coming back. Of course, like you said, if the Oilers did trade McDavid they'd lose it no matter what, but I thought this was a pretty substantial package. I'm always interested to see what other people think in terms of value even if the premise of the trade itself is asinine.

This is horrendous. McDavid isn't being traded, and if he was a guy like Matthews, Eichel, Keller, Etc. are going back (with more).
