Description
You guys have all seen the Ryan for Lucic trade so im not going to pretend like it was my idea. Sens need a Big boy like lucic to protect the youngin's and Ryan could maybe play better w a good Center like Mcdavid or Drais. they also only pay Ryan for 4 years as opposed to paying lucic for 5 years.

Ceci is hot garbage and is just a complete nuisance when he's on the ice. However, if Chiarelli was willing to give Hall for Ceci some amount of years ago. maybe he can be dumb enough to give Sens a 2nd for him.

OTT then gets a stable D partner for Lajoie. lose a leader in Smith, but they have similar contracts so i thought it would be good for cap (not that that is a problem for either team, but Melnyk wouldnt want to take on 4m without money going out as well).

Believe it or not, Sens can actually be a not half bad team but Ceci is just so bad. (on for 9 of the 11 goals Sens have had scored on them) and i think Demers would be a perfect fit with Lajoie in the top 4

let me know on the value.

I think you put the Oilers over the cap. They are looking to shed salary not add to it.

I think the idea of Yotes trading 3 years of a top 4 d man for 2 years of a 3rd liner is crazy.

Well my point wasn't paying the extra 1.25m but to lose a year that you have to pay them. so that when you have to sign players like Puljujarvi and Yamamoto, you only have Ryan for a year or so where you can buy him out for relatively cheap.

also . its a 3rd liner and a '19 2nd . not just a 3rd liner . AND ARZ got him straight up for jamie McGinn . a third liner .

I like these trades, I think Demers is probably a very moveable D-man right now. Its still very early but Arizona is quickly finding themselves near the bottom of the standings - AGAIN, and if that trend holds another 20 games or so they may be looking to shake things up. But, maybe you could trade Ceci to them, he's a RD like Demers and a younger asset which they might like.

The Edmonton trade could work if you took back a bit more salary, maybe another contract. I get the comment that the Oilers are looking to shed salary and get younger and faster, etc etc - every team is! - but Chiarelli is a bonehead so he might just do it, even if we arm chair GMs would not.
