Description
LAK sure up their LD for a run at a cup while spending 375K more on Alzner then Alzner who has been a great mentor to Juulsen on our RD if nothing else(while being top 3 in hits and blocks its just we expected him to play top pair which never worked out here .)

Kupari is a decent Center but he's a 2/3rd line center prospect so i gave a fair value for him. my main motivation in taking him is surrounding Kotkanemi with fellow Finns

we dont need Forbot to make the deal work we just took him so the cap would work out when Brown gets back.(we could retain on Forbot 50% and trade him back i suppose if you want him)

  1. Ho-Sang, Joshua
Additional Details:
-Ho-Sang needs a change of scenery to correct his attitude if he'll ever play in the NHL .

-rights to Robin Salo .(its more likely Ho Sang bust's then Hudon so Salo is what makes this whole deal worth taking .)
NYI
  1. Hudon, Charles
  2. 2019 3rd round pick (MTL)
Additional Details:
-Hudon got 30 points his rookie year as our best back checker and leader in CF and FF . his possession metrics are there , he even lead our team in shots most of last year but he's never going to succeed without centers and NYI is a good fit for that reason . (yes even without Tavares their C depth squashes ours )

who though ?

when Drouin was thought to be the guy Hudon played a big role last year
since Kotkanemi's come Armia and Lehkonen have risen while Hudon and Drouin fall out of favor .

Hudon's going so we can land a solid Finnish LD who could be big for us in the future if developed right .
the only other player we have that can land Salo/Ho-sang is Lehkonen who's leading our team with Byron as our top wingers

Hudon not be Waiver Exempt and Arbitration eligible is another big reason he's the guy to go

if i thought we could make it work by flipping Drouin instead i 100% would because we'd land a bigger package deal but its most likely Hudon goes as his low cap this year makes him more attractive to Contenders given his speed , production and play are all valued way about 650k

i just think that he will be a loyal and solid 3rd/4th liner

I would think byron would be better to give because he is more skilled NOW and isn't as important to the team as hudon

Byron's deffinately important to MTL he leads us in Scoring he's 4 points in 2 games while his line mates take number 2 and 3 spots with 3 points in 2 games .
they are MTL's most important line right now mostly because Kotkanemi has been cycling between 2nd and 3rd pair wingers with 3/4 wingers all benefitting with production .
anyone helping Kotkanemi right now is a made player and Hudon is not helping anyone because his success last year was dependent on Drouin and Plekanec being his center and this year neither are in play having their own struggles .

i mean with Evans,Suzuki,Poehling ,Olofsson and Fleury all making pushes in their respective leagues i think its foolish to keep around Hudon when Olofsson is 3 points in 4 games playing in the SHL vs men as an 18 year old knocking full grown men on their asses with his speed . he's a LW which means its 3rd/4th line he'll start in if he makes it plus if any of the above Centers make it Domi goes back to LW

Hudon is to good to play bottom 6 anyways he proved last year he was a top 6 forward and to be honest he deserves a team that needs him to be one and NYI could use him right now as they are putting a lot of unneeded pressure on 21 year old Beaulievier to fill a top line role and he's not ready and would be best off on 3rd line this year .

Byron's a Community Leader and fluent in French while scoring consistently , being a hits leader and one of the fastest skaters in the Eastern Conference who can play on any line filling an Offensive Role ,Defensive Role ,Special Teams Role and a Checking Role without losing pace .

Hudon's good but not that good , he's a career high 45 point guy who will average between 30-35 points on average over his career .
that's not worth protecting when you look at who we've invested in our draft's as we've been lights out since Eric Crawford took over drafting from Timmons in 2014(timmons oversee's all development including Draft Dept but Eric's in charge of day to day )
