You haven't been watching Matthews. It doesn't make the Leafs better. Leafs would get a 6.5m cap hit for for eight years for now the 28 year old OEL. That contract might have be the new Weber deal.

Probably get more out of Keller as a winger. And you're saving money for the wrong years, unless you think that ARI would retain that much on OEL's 6-year extension (don't think it's even legal, let alone realistic).
