Love seeing Nalimov on the roster. Don't think Barret will make the team though. Also think Schmaltz will be under 6, and we know that cap space adds up fast for the hawks.

The d will be tough. Mitchell, Forsling, and Boqvist all have legitimate shots at making the lineup with Krys and a few more right behind them. Any reason why you think it goes to Mitchell?

Not 100% sold on the Anisimov trade. Maybe try to sign a 3C if he is traded. Just would like to see a little more depth there. I do like Kampf but I see him more as a 4C taking over Kruger's spot.

In regards to Mitchell I think he is the closest to being ready on the right side as Boqvist needs more time and I dont picture him being ready after next year. That said I forgot Mitchell would only be entering into his JR year at Denver so maybe Krys can snag that spot on the right side and Forsling can force Gustafsson to be moved (no one would want manning probably so Gustafsson would make more sense) in order to play on the left side. All things said imo the best Hawks D prospects by potential would be Boqvist, Jokiharju and Mitchell is there at #3, followed by Krys, Forsling Hillman, and Shea. Mitchell I think is someone who could end up being a top pairing guy from what we have seen with his development in Denver becoming their best Dman as a freshman and thus I have him as the 3rd best D Prospect Chicago has and he is someone that should not be moved.

Forsling should steal a spot already this very season the moment he is back but Q has his favorites there is no doubt in my mind that he should be playing over Manning but that remains to be seen when he returns.

Schmaltz I think will net about 6 and him having the same agent as Larkin will make me think he will get a similar deal even if Schmaltz is a small tier below Larkin as a player.

Barret I wasnt 100% sure who would be a 4C/13th forward but his play style both in Penn state and team USA would be a good grinder role right off the bat with more room to grow if he doesnt fit it could even be filled by a FA on a 1 year contract.

I don't think Boqvist will be ready either. Probably will be playing in the AHL next season. Might get a few games with the hawks. I agree with Forsling too. He should be in our lineup when he is back, over Manning or Gustafsson. Don't know how this is going to play out though once him and Murphy are back with our surplus of defensemen. I would like to trade one of them for a 3rd line guy. The third line has been struggling a lot this year, Q has already changed it up many times and can't find the right group. He should try Saad - Kampf - Fortin. Kunitz needs to go down to the 4th line.

Schmaltz will make at least 5 guaranteed. The way things are going for him right now I don't think he will get 6 but we are only 7 games into the season. Last game they ran Schmaltz - Anisimov - Kane. I think it will benefit him playing wing.
