Description
Just my thought: It is crazy to pay Nylander top 5 or even 10 paid RWer in the NHL, which would put over 7m. Now I know, points aren't always an indication of playing value, but how's this stat:
Nylander ranked 17th last year in Points per Game at .74 for Right Wings
17th paid RWer this year is. 5.75m

For the next month or so, I wish he was. The post is about Nylander and his contract.

Not the best way to do it. U always have to factor in when the contract was signed and how much of that contract was worth relative to the cap hit. For example; 5.75 million when the cap was 69 million would equal to 8.3%. 5.75 now that the cap is 79.5 million would equal to 7.2%. I get what you’re trying to do, but percentages is a much better way to estimate cap hit as the salary cap is steadily increasing

As i see it, Kutcherov ( 18, 65, 66 ) is the player Nylander ( 13, 61, 61 ) should be comparable production-wise before he was signed to bridge......his contract at current cap space would be 3 x 5,3M
