Let's say Dubas and his team, crunch some analytics, determine Nylander is worth 6.5 mil and Marner is worth 8.2 mil

You get Marner to agree to a 500k discount, 7.7 mil by 8.

Marner takes this because he's from Toronto and already has several endorsement deals

You get both agents and players in a room, you show Nylander the discount Marner wants to take and that you are willing to give him that extra money, if he signs for 7 or 8 years.

Nylander 7 mil by 7, only making 700k less then Marner

Then you get both of them GoDaddy CJs PJs type deals where they make residual income on sales, and they make huge money off that because Toronto is the hockey mecca of the world

"And I never have to read another Nylander contract article or trade agm again." You think that will stop any Nylander trades. Then folks will be saying the Leafs can't afford Matthews and Kapanen and the trades will continue. Nope Leaf trades will never end.
