Considering his performance and contract, he is not worth that much. Remove Alexeyev and it's much closer...

To his defense. The whole Kings team has been hot garbage. On a good team, I feel he is good for 20-25 goals a year, even at 35 years old. Kings are eating $2.25m of the hit, which is why I threw him in.

Caps aren’t trading Alexeyev and a first round pick for an aging player in Kovalchuk. What would be more of interest is a deal around Burakovsky and Johansen for a retained Carter
