Mantha could be exactly what Stone is today, and do it for 1/3 of the cost. I'm not sure the deal with NSH is worth it, especially since there is no guarantee Fabbro will sign in Detroit. He can wait until 2020 and sign with anyone he wants. And Fabbro is going to be beholden to a first contract, so max will be 925,000+bonuses.

I think we've seen out of this DET team that while the forwards do need some help (and help is coming with maturity), the biggest issue is on the backend. Green is either significantly better than people give him credit for, or Detroit is playing with 3 dmen and 3 pilons each night (I believe the answer is both). If you are going to invest money in FA, I believe it should be done on the back end.

The Kap offer sheet is interesting. 3.8mm would be TOR in a pretty big bind cap wise, and would keep the comp down. He may get his choice of offer sheets.

I am convinced Mantha will not get to the next level. He absolutely disappears at times. The deal would require a contract discussion with fabbro's camp prior to completion, BU is having a tough year, I think he leaves after this season regardless. As far as Kap offersheet goes, hopefully that would be enough but your right he will have his pick

Screw that Dante Fabbro wont sign with Nashville, He plans on staying in college and becoming a UFA by 2020. There's no way in hell he'll sign with Detroit if he doesn't want to sign with Nashville.

Nashville doesn’t have much room on D. But he may very well wait till he’s a ufa. BU is having a brutal year maybe he leaves
